Totem is the complete application development environment for Acucobol^® applications. Brought to you by the same people who developed AcuBench^®, Totem is the next step in productivity beyond AcuBench. AcuBench provides the foundation, but Totem provides you with the blocks needed to build upon that foundation. Totem enables COBOL programmers to meet the demands of their customers by developing high-quality software in a fraction of the time it takes to build the same applications using traditional programming methods. Totem provides a robust, effective solution for rapidly producing stable GUI COBOL applications. Totem allows you to extend the functionality of your existing COBOL applications, as its many features minimize future maintenance costs and allow you to focus on the core of an application -- the business rules and processing flow -- while Totem handles the rest.

In addition to the benefits of AcuBench, Totem provides complete application generation, graphical printing, portability, and rapid application development (RAD). A powerful RAD tool, Totem shortens the design cycle by converting design into code as quickly as possible. Totem does not, however, sacrifice quality for this extraordinary increase in development speed. Totem's various features not only facilitate rapid development, but also ensure higher quality and more efficient applications. These features include the Application Wizard, Screen Painter, Data Modeling Diagrams (DMD), Data Set Diagrams (DSD), Logical View, and Report Writer. Totem also features the Program Manager, Data Designer, Embedded Editor, Consistency Check function, and double-byte character support.
